Helping SME's survive recession fallout
Accounting firm RSM Prince is offering a 'Business Fitness Review' service to help businesses survive the recession.RSM Prince specialises in SMEs and partner Grant Hally says, "It's easy for business owners to get bamboozled by financial reports and we aim to give them something that makes it easy for them to see where they can improve on profitability."
He says this is hugely important in the current environment as many of businesses are suffering the impacts of the recession.
The 'Business Fitness Review' uses simple financial modelling software to provide a critical financial analysis of a business.
"We provide detailed reports including easily understandable graphs and analysis which gives a visual insight into the big picture of how a business is working on a year on year basis," says Hally.
The service also allows businesses to do a "what if" analysis on their operations so for example if a business is looking to expand, buy some capital equipment or employ another person, directors can see how this will impact on their bottom line and cash flow.
"It allows those running the business to see what a huge difference a few tweaks can make," Hally says.
"For many businesses surviving the recession has been touch and go and getting an insight into where they can make small changes to improve their profitability can be the difference between a small or medium sized business surviving the fallout from the recession or not," he says.
