Listed property with managed share market risk

NZ Funds says kiwi's can now have listed property exposure with managed share market risk - a first for the New Zealand investment industry.

NZ Funds has developed international and New Zealand property strategies which enable people to access diversified liquid portfolios of properties around the world.

NZ Funds principal and senior portfolio manager Stephen Bennie  says listed property dominates direct investments in property in almost all respects except one.

"When a high quality property portfolio is listed on the share market to enable investors to buy and sell with ease - it also becomes subject to the volatility of global shares."

However, NZ Funds believes that through careful management of share market risk, listed property can provide clients with both a liquid and stable property exposure.
