Two new appointments at Grant Thornton

Grant Thornton has appointed Murray Chandler as partner of Business Risk to be based in Wellington and Sue Bryden as regional business manager of the Christchurch office.

Chandler is a Chartered Accountant and Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors. He graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce and Administration.

He has more than 20 years management experience delivering audit, assurance, risk and process improvement assignments in New Zealand and internationally. Chandler has worked in telecommunications, electricity utilities, district health boards, government ministries, education, banking, agriculture and primary production.

Bryden joined Grant Thornton earlier this year after being the chief executive for a Christchurch law firm, Harmans.

With an MA (Hons) in History and Modern Languages, Sue started her career in the IT industry in the 1980s, spending the next 20 years in management roles within the sector.  She brings extensive business experience to her position, particularly in managing and motivating teams to achieve excellent results.
